Hello,
it’s me, Jakob. Colorist since 2013.
Film and television have been a passion for as long as I can remember. The cinema quickly became one of my favourite places, a space where you can dive into images and lose yourself in the worlds filmmakers create. Being a naturally colourful person, color grading became the perfect way to combine that passion with a craft that offers endless creative possibilities to support stories, characters, and visual worlds. Through my work and professional development, I’ve grown to appreciate film colours even more and feel honoured to help DoPs bring their visual ideas to their final form.
I studied media technology at the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida (Germany) from 2009 to 2013, followed by a semester at the University of Akureyri (Iceland) and graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.).
My career began as a dailies colorist at Cine+ in Berlin, where I also worked on conforming, quality control, mastering, and small VFX tasks.
In 2016, I joined the Cine Chromatix family and their colorist team. Since then, I’ve been working exclusively as a final colorist. My work focuses mainly on grading TV series and films, as well as feature films for theatrical release, with occasional projects in advertising and music videos.
In 2024, Cine Chromatix became part of the PFX network and is now known as PFX Germany.
